Rahat Fateh Ali Khan took to his official social media handle to dismiss claims of him being detained at Dubai airport over a complaint filed by the Pakistani singer’s former manager
Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has made a name for himself in the music industry with his soulful voice in Pakistan as well as India. Having given his voice to many blockbuster songs, he is one of the highest-paid singers in Pakistan. On Monday, it was heavily reported that he was arrested in Dubai, after a complaint by his former manager. Dismissing the claims as fake news, he shortly took to his official social media handle to reassure his fans.
As soon as the reports of his detention made the headlines, he clarified it through a video on his official social media handle. He took to his Instagram handle to share a video of him relaxing in Dubai. Clarifying that he was in Dubai to record a few songs, Khan urged his fans not to believe in rumours. Even his lawyer stated that the reports on his arrest were fake. Quoted by Bollywood Shaadis, the Mere Rashke Qamar singer said, “I am in Dubai to record a few songs. I urge you not to believe such rumours..do not waste your time over them..keep supporting and uplifting your artist. You are my power after almighty Allah.”
For those who don’t know, according to a report by Geo TV, late legendary singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s nephew was arrested in Dubai after his former manager, Salman Ahmed, had filed a defamation case against the Pakistani singer. The reports went on to mention that he was detained by the immigration center after he arrived in Dubai.
