Punjab Police on Saturday said they have busted two major Khalistani terror modules backed by Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), arresting 13 people and seizing a large cache of weapons and explosives.
Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav said the modules were being operated from abroad by France-based Satnam Singh, also known as Satta, and Greece-based Jaswinder Singh, also known as Mannu Agwan. Both are linked to the banned group Babbar Khalsa International.
This is a major blow to transnational terror networks targeting peace and stability in Punjab, Yadav said in a post on X, formerly Twitter.
Police recovered two rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs) including a launcher, two improvised explosive devices (IEDs) weighing 2.5 kg each, two hand grenades with detonators, two kilograms of RDX with remote control, five pistols including Beretta and Glock models, six magazines, 44 live cartridges, a wireless communication set, and three vehicles.
