Poll Strategist Prashant Kishor met Congress party chief Sonia Gandhi at her residence today. This is their second meeting at her residence in the last 3 days. She also held a meeting with Congress leaders Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Mukul Wasnik, Randeep Singh Surjewala, KC Venugopal, and Ambika Soni at Janpath 10.
Top Congress leaders today convened at party president Sonia Gandhi’s residence to discuss strategy for upcoming Assembly elections and the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. Around the same time, PDP president and former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti and poll strategist Prashant Kishor also met with Gandhi at her residence.
Amid murmurs that Kishor may join the Congress in the near future, the former JD(U) leader today held his second meeting in three days with Gandhi. Earlier on Saturday, Kishor had given a detailed detailed presentation with a road map for the 2024 General elections. At the time, the party’s general secretary organisation had said that the poll strategist’s role Congress party would be known within a week.
While sources have indicated that the strategist will be joining the Congress party, Kishor, however, has specifically said that he does not want to hold any post and will be content with whatever role the Congress party gives him. The poll analyst had earlier fallen out with the party after several rounds of talks
