Bollywood’s legendary actor Rishi Kapoor passed away in April. 2020. His demise left a void in the industry that can never be filled. However, his wife Neetu Kapoor has been keeping his legacy alive. From sharing rare throwback pictures online to penning heartfelt notes remembering her late husband, the veteran actress’s posts often leave fans teary-eyed. But there are a few who apparently cannot see her “enjoying life” post Rishi Kapoor’s demise.
In a recent interview, Neetu Kapoor opened up about being trolled online for actively sharing posts on social media and said that people expect to see a “crying widow”. She said that a section of people leave nasty comments under her posts and went on to reveal how she deals with them.
“I do it just because I love it. I enjoy it. I love my followers. I just block the ones who troll me. I just block them. Because you know hote hain thode bahut beech mein ki ‘husband mar gaya, ye enjoy kar rahi hai (there are some who say things like her husband is dead and she is enjoying).’ They want to see that crying widow type. There’s a section of people, but I just block them. I say this is the way I want to be, this is the way I will be,” the actress told Film Companion.
