Actor Mouni Roy has strongly criticized British Airways for what she described as a distressing and humiliating experience at Heathrow Airport. Taking to Instagram, the actress shared her ordeal, alleging poor treatment by the airline’s ground staff that left her in tears and questioning whether she had been subjected to racial discrimination.
In her Instagram story, Mouni wrote, “@british_airways this is to let you know my experience with your ground staff at Heathrow was HORRIBLE.” She revealed that despite holding a business class ticket, she was mistreated and left helpless during the boarding process. “Had to beg & cry to board my flight,” she said, expressing her disbelief and emotional distress.
Mouni further elaborated that she was yelled at, made to wait without explanation, and denied basic assistance. She questioned the behavior of the airline staff and wondered aloud whether her experience was influenced by racial bias. “Is this racism?” she asked, highlighting how the incident made her feel powerless and targeted.
Known for her work in both television and film, Mouni mentioned that she has flown numerous times but never encountered such insensitivity. “You should be ashamed of the apathy your ground staff represents,” she added, calling out British Airways directly and tagging their official account.
Her account of the incident quickly gained traction, with fans and followers showing support and urging the airline to issue a statement. Several social media users echoed her concerns, while others demanded an explanation from British Airways.
