In a surprising turn of events, a journalist in Noida named Deepak Tenguriya received a bill worth Rs 7.66 crore after booking an auto ride for just Rs 62 using the Uber app. This unexpected incident occurred during the early hours of Friday, leaving both Deepak and his friend puzzled.
Deepak’s friend, Ashish Mishra, a journalist with Lallantop, shared a video on X where the two friends discussed the outrageous amount invoiced for a routine commute. Upon displaying his phone screen, it became clear that Deepak had been charged a staggering Rs 1,67,74,647 as the “Trip fare”, along with Rs 5,99,09189 for waiting time. A promotional discount of Rs 75 was applied, reducing the total amount slightly.
