Srinagar: In yet another attempt to instil fear among minority community members in Jammu and Kashmir, terrorists fired upon a Kashmiri Pandit in the Budgam area on Thursday. The Kashmiri Pandit, identified as Rahul Bhat, was admitted to a hospital, but lost his life during treatment. The dastardly incident was reported from Chadoora in Budgam. The Kashmir Police suspect that two terrorists were involved in the attack.

Bhat, a government employee, was shot at when he was working in his office in the Chadoora area. Rahul Bhat worked as a clerk in Tehsildar office.

“The #injured was immediately brought to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar for treatment where he #succumbed to his injuries. Preliminary investigation reveals that 02 #terrorists are #involved in this #heinous crime & have used pistol for committing this crime,” the Kashmir Police informed.
“Terrorists fired upon one employee namely Shri Rahul Bhat from #minority community in Tehsildar office Chadoora, #Budgam. He has been shifted to hospital,” the Kashmir Police tweeted.
Social activist Sushil Pandit condemned the attack on Kashmiri Pandit, saying that unless the relentless jihad is stopped in India, such attacks will not end.
In recent times, the terrorists have been attacking non-local workers and Kashmiri Pandits.
