No one wants to see “Joker 2: Folie a Deux.”
Toddy Phillips’ $200 million sequel to his 2019 hit movie has earned a “D” on Cinemascore with exiting audiences.
That’s the lowest rating ever for any comic book movie.
On Thursday night, “Joker 2” scored only $7 million in previews. It picked up $13 last night for a total of $20 million. It should come in at a shockingly low $40 million weekend.
Meantime, Lady Gaga’s companion album, “Harlequin,” managed to move around 26,000 after its surprise release last week. The album is wonderful, with Gaga performing jazz standards like buttah. But the overall lack of interest in the film was an obstacle.
