IndiGo’s Istanbul-Mumbai flight took off on Saturday after hours of delay that left 400 passengers stranded at Istanbul airport. The flight to Delhi has been cancelled and alternate arrangements are being made for flyers.
After hours of delay that left 400 Indian passengers stranded at Istanbul airport, IndiGo’s Istanbul-Mumbai flight finally took off on Saturday. On the other hand, the flight to Delhi has been cancelled and the airline is making an alternate arrangement for the passengers.
Social media platforms were flooded with multiple posts of passengers complaining about the poor service of the airline and the lack of clarity as to why the passengers were being made to wait so long.
IndiGo’s 6E 11(Istanbul to Delhi) and 6E 18 (Istanbul-Mumbai) flights were delayed which left passengers stuck at the airport.
Hello @IndiGo6E!
This is a great experience you have shown me today. I and many others like me have been stranded at the Istanbul International Airport for the past 12 hours with no proper information on when we will be getting out of here. I have paid 700$ for this flight.— Dhyey Shah (@DhyeyShah1811) December 12, 2024
Reacting to the chaos, IndiGo said that its executives are available at all contact points to assist customers. “We are aware of the delays on the IndiGo flight connections to Istanbul. We accord the highest priority towards customer convenience and out teams are available at all contact points to assist customers. IndiGo apologises for the inconvenience caused to the customers,” it added.
