The Population, Immigration, and Border Authority (PIBA) has outlined specific requirements for construction workers, including roles in framework construction, iron bending, plastering, and ceramic tiling.
New Delhi: Israel approached India to initiate a new recruitment drive aimed at addressing skill shortages in its infrastructure and healthcare sectors. The request, by Isreal is of 10,000 construction workers and 5,000 care givers. Last year a demand was made for 10000 construction workers after which first lot of around 5,000 workers were sent to Israel.
The Population, Immigration, and Border Authority (PIBA) has outlined specific requirements for construction workers, including roles in framework construction, iron bending, plastering, and ceramic tiling. A team from PIBA is scheduled to visit India next week to conduct skill assessments and select candidates who meet the required criteria. The recruitment drive for construction workers will primarily focus on Maharashtra.
In addition to construction workers, Israel is also looking to recruit 5,000 caregivers to enhance its healthcare services. Candidates must have completed at least their 10th standard education and hold a certificate from a recognised Indian institution, along with a caregiving course that includes at least 990 hours of practical training.
