Amit Shah launched a book on Narendra Modi in Delhi and said India would be the world’s 3rd largest economy in the world by 2027. He said even Modi’s staunchest critics would note his achievements.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday said that India’s history will be divided into three phases which include before and after Narendra Modi’s era.
The Home Minister who launched a book on Narendra Modi in Delhi also said that India would be the world’s 3rd largest economy in the world by 2027.
Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah said that the past 10 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tenure have marked the end of an era and the beginning of a new one. He emphasized that whenever India’s history is rewritten, even Modi’s staunchest critics will acknowledge these 10 years in golden letters.
“India’s history in three parts. First is before & after independence. Second is before & after emergency. Third is before & after Narendra Modi,” he said after launching book Indian Renaissance: The Modi Decade.
While talking about economy, Shah said that previous government maintained India at 11th number as largest economy but Modi brought India from 11th to 5th.
“PM Modi brought India from 11th to 5th largest economy in 10 years.” He further predicted that “We will be the world’s 3rd largest economy in 2027. We can’t imagine missions like Chandrayaan and Spadex,” Shah said.
While giving data about efforts made to give better life to public, Shah said, “7 crore poor Indians given houses, toilets, water, 5 kg food, health insurance cover. 25 crore people driven outside poverty, 80 crore get free ration.”
“PM Modi is the 1st leader after Mahatma Gandhi to speak about Safai. Despite early criticism, the government’s focus on building toilets led to 1.5 crore houses given toilets by PM Modi,” Shah said.
He further said that in 2014, India entered a new era, receiving a stable government after three decades, leading to success in every part of the country. Shah mentioned that this transformation has been interpreted in various ways, with a foreign newspaper even writing that while India attained independence on August 15, 1947, it was under Modi’s leadership in 2014 that the country truly gained freedom from colonial influences.
Home Minister also said, “Every house in India has access to electricity, In this country, there are 2500 villages that now have electricity.”
Amit Shah also appreciated India’s way of tackling Covid-19. “No one thought India could face Covid-19 like it did. We made vaccine 1st because the process to make it started 1st in India.”
“PM made an appeal for lockdown and every Indian supported his decision. In India, Centre, state governments, and all Indians united in fight against Covid-19.” Amit Shah said.
Amit Shah asserted that PM Modi has set a clear target for India to become a fully developed nation by 2047. He remarked that what started as the Prime Minister’s resolution has now become the collective aspiration of 130 crore Indians. He expressed confidence that India’s youth will be the driving force behind making the country the number one global power by 2047. He added, Modi Ji recognizes that if every Indian takes a single step forward, the country will advance by 130 crore steps.
