Indian Aviation Hits Record High In November 2024; THIS Airline Is Leading The Chart With 1 Crore Passengers

India’s aviation regulator, Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), stated that it witnessed the highest number of traffic in the history of Indian aviation in November 2024. The Delhi airport announced November to be their busiest month yet.
“Passengers carried by domestic airlines during January – November 2024 were 1464.02 lakhs as against 1382.34 lakhs during the corresponding period of the previous year thereby registering an annual growth of 5.91 %and monthly growth of 11.90 %,” the domestic airline performance report by DGCA stated.
IndiGo, in its 18 years of aviation history, has reached a historic achievement by being the first airline in India to transport over 1 crore passengers in one month. This achievement has also increased their market share price by 63.6 per cent. These passengers comprised 90.7 lakh local passengers, while the rest consisted of international travelers. The highest number recorded till now was 86.4 lakh passengers in October 2024.

Earlier, AirHelp Inc. revealed worldwide airline ranking in its 2024 report. In the report, Indigo placed in the bottom 10 worst airlines in the world, ranking at No. 103.

For the Q2 FY25 financial results report, Indigo reported a loss following seven profitable quarters. However, the airline’s domestic operations have now reached 1.5 times their pre-COVID-19 scale, with even more significant growth in international operations, the report added.
