PM Modi’s US Visit: India has prepared a list of gangsters hiding in the United States and wanted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and police. Official sources from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) said New Delhi plans to share the list containing the names of dreaded gangsters Goldy Brar and Anmol Bishnoi with Washington during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to the US this week, his first since Donald Trump returned to the Oval Office.
Acting on a directive from the Ministry of Home Affairs, India’s leading security agencies compiled a list of gangsters residing in the United States.
Sources reveal that while central agencies already maintained a list of criminals fleeing abroad, a few weeks ago, they were tasked with specifically compiling a list of criminals based in the US, along with the status of their cases.
Anmol, the brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and accused mastermind behind the murder conspiracy of NCP leader and former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique, was arrested in the US in November after immigration authorities discovered he was traveling with fake documents. He has been in a US prison since then. Last month, a special court in Mumbai issued non-bailable warrants for Anmol and two other wanted suspects in connection with Siddique’s murder.
