A helicopter crashed in Maharashtra’s Pune on Wednesday morning. Three people onboard the chopper were killed in the incident, the police said.
According to news agency PTI, the helicopter crashed near a hilly terrain in Bavdhan, a residential suburb in the city, while it was en route to Juhu in Mumbai.
The incident happened at nearly 7.35 am today, soon after the chopper took off from the Oxford Golf Course helipad in Pune, Shashikant Mahavarkar, Joint Commissioner of Police, Pimpri Chinchwad told reporters. He also said the weather was foggy at the time of the incident.
The helicopter belonged to a Delhi-based private aviation firm, PTI reported.
