A chilling video has surfaced showing the initial moments of the Pahalgam terror attack. The video shows a terrorist shooting dead a tourist under a tree, as other tourists take a few seconds to realise the terror unfolding. The video begins with a few children playing on a trampoline and tourists relaxing nearby, but within seconds of gunfire, panic sets in as people scramble for safety.
Nearly 28 people have died and over 60 others are said to be injured in the attacks that are now being called the Valley’s deadliest since 2019. The terrorists segregated the tourists based on gender, and confirmed if they were non-Muslims, before shooting most of the men dead.
Pallavi, the wife of a tourist from Karnataka’s Shivamogga, revealed: “I noticed that there were three to four attackers. After my husband was killed, I faced one of the terrorists and said, ‘Mere pati ko mara hai na, mujhe bhi maaro’. My son also confronted him and said, ‘Kutte, mere papa ko maara, humein bhi maar daalo’.”
The terrorist told her, “‘Nahin marenge. Tum Modi ko jaake bolo’.”
PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have vowed strict action against the perpetrators.
“I strongly condemn the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. I pray that the injured recover at the earliest. All possible assistance is being provided to those affected. Those behind this heinous act will be brought to justice…they will not be spared! Their evil agenda will never succeed. Our resolve to fight terrorism is unshakable and it will get even stronger,” PM Modi said in a tweet.
