Popular Bollywood choreographer and filmmaker Remo Dsouza is celebrating his birthday today. On this special day, let’s take a look at his inspiring success story.

Bollywood choreographer and filmmaker Remo Dsouza is one of the most popular personalities in the country today. The ABCD director is now a household name, thanks to his appearances as a judge on popular dance reality shows. He has worked with superstars Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Varun Dhawan and others. But, did you know that his journey to the top has not been a cakewalk?
Remo, originally named Ramesh Gopi Nair, was born into a middle-class family. To fulfil his dream of being a Bollywood star, Remo left school and came to Mumbai. While his father wanted him to join the Indian Air Force, a young Remo had his heart full of hopes and dreams.
After coming to Mumbai, however, he realised that his journey wasn’t going to be a cakewalk. Before getting his first break, Remo struggled to find a place to crash. “Yaha jab aaya tha toh sirf dreams the aur pocket me Rs 2600,” he had once revealed. Remo lived in a chawl and shared a small room with three other families.
