Minutes after NCP leader Baba Siddique was shot dead in Mumbai’s Bandra East on Saturday evening, News18 obtained the first image of the three individuals who allegedly opened fire at him.
Siddique, 66, a former Congressman and Maharashtra minister, was immediately rushed to Lilavati Hospital but was declared dead. He had joined the Ajit Pawar-led NCP earlier this year in February.
The Mumbai Police have arrested two of the three suspects, who are currently being interrogated. One suspect is from Uttar Pradesh, while the other is from Haryana. The third suspect is still at large, and efforts are underway to apprehend him. The investigation has been transferred to the Crime Branch.
Visuals of Siddique’s car have also emerged, showing bullet marks. Siddique was reportedly inside his car when the three individuals opened fire at him, leading to his death.
