Emergency POSTPONED To September 18? Kangana Ranaut Pens Open Note Reacting To High Court’s Order: This Is The Price You Pay

Kangana Ranaut is furious over the delayed release of her film Emergency over CBFC certification and the actress has now penned a long note over it

Kangana Ranaut, a prominent Bollywood actress and BJP MP, is currently in the limelight due to the delay in her film Emergency and the controversy surrounding her outspoken political views. In a recent social media post, Kangana expressed frustration, feeling that she has become a prime target for criticism. She attributes this scrutiny to her efforts to “awaken” what she refers to as a “sleeping nation.” Kangana believes many people prefer to remain neutral, avoiding taking sides on important issues. According to her, this passive attitude stems from a desire for peace and a reluctance to engage in difficult conversations.

In her post on X (formerly Twitter), Kangana drew a parallel between the challenges faced by soldiers and the indifference of the public. She remarked that soldiers on the border do not have the luxury of being “cool” or avoiding sides, as they must defend against enemies like Pakistan and China. She further illustrated her point by referring to women who have faced horrific violence, noting that their humanity was not reciprocated by those who harmed them. Through these comparisons, Kangana criticized those who choose to remain passive in the face of injustice, implying that their indifference could ultimately come back to harm them.

Kangana’s film Emergency, which focuses on a significant period in Indian political history, has also faced delays. The Bombay High Court’s recent decision to postpone the film’s release has added to the actress’s frustrations. The delay stems from a directive for the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to thoroughly review any objections before granting certification. Originally set for a September 6 release, Emergency now faces a 14-day delay, with the CBFC certification expected by September 18.
