
Cyclonic Circulation: Amidst the constantly changing weather across the country, the India Meteorological Department has issued a rain warning for Northeast India. According to the warning, a cyclonic circulation is forming over the Bay of Bengal, due to which there is a possibility of rain in Assam and neighbouring states.
A rain forecast has been issued for the next seven days in the north-eastern states. The Meteorological Department said that a cyclonic wind area is forming in Nagaland and surrounding areas at an altitude of 1.5 km above sea level. Due to this, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall as well as snowfall in Northeast India during February 15-21.
As the month of February progresses, the temperature is continuously rising across the country. However, there is also a possibility of thunderstorms in many states of the Northeast on February 19. Heavy rain is also expected in Assam and Meghalaya on February 19. Light to moderate rain is expected in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim for the next seven days. On Saturday, Arunachal Pradesh received snowfall and rain, while heavy rain was recorded in other parts.
Possibility Of Rain In Parts Of North India
The Meteorological Department said that a new western disturbance is developing in the mountains. Due to its effect, there is a possibility of sporadic to light rain and snowfall in Himachal Pradesh. The same situation will prevail in Uttarakhand on February 19-20.
Heavy rain is expected in Rajasthan from February 17 to 19 and in Punjab, Haryana and western Uttar Pradesh from February 19-20. It rained in some parts of Punjab on Saturday, which brought smiles to the faces of the farmers of the Rabi crop.
