Jammu and Kashmir Police launched a crackdown on OGWs and terror suspects, recovering weapons and arresting individuals linked to JeM and LeT across multiple districts.

The Jammu and Kashmir Police have launched an extensive crackdown across multiple districts in the Jammu region, targeting Over Ground Workers (OGWs) and terror suspects associated with banned outfits such as Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).

The operation, led by intelligence inputs, has resulted in several arrests and the recovery of incriminating materials, including electronic devices, documents, unaccounted cash, weapons, and ammunition.

Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu Zone, Anand Jain, stated that investigations are ongoing to dismantle terror networks and ensure lasting peace in the region.

The operations, which were carried out based on specific intelligence inputs, aimed to identify, track, and apprehend individuals involved in providing support to terrorist outfits. This includes managing logistics, recruitment, and facilitating the movement of arms, ammunition, and funds.
