Congress Announces Rs 8,500 Monthly To Educated Unemployed Youth If Voted To Power In Delhi

The money will be given under ‘Yuva Udaan Yojana’

On Sunday, the Congress party announced the “Yuva Udaan Yojana,” a scheme to provide financial assistance to educated but unemployed youth in Delhi. Under the initiative, the party promises Rs 8,500 monthly for one year to eligible beneficiaries if voted to power in the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections.
Addressing a press conference, Congress leader and former Rajasthan deputy chief minister Sachin Pilot clarified that the scheme encourages skill development and employment. “This is not a scheme where one will get money while sitting at home,” Pilot said.
He elaborated that beneficiaries would receive the financial aid through companies, factories, or organisations where they showcase their skills. “We want to ensure that people are absorbed in fields they are trained in, allowing them to enhance their skill sets,” Pilot added.

The Congress has unveiled multiple schemes ahead of the February 5 polling for the 70-member Delhi Assembly. On January 6, it announced the “Pyari Didi Yojana,” promising ₹2,500 per month for women.

On January 8, the party introduced the Jeevan Raksha Yojana, which offers free health insurance coverage for up to Rs 25 lakh.
