With wrestlers protesting against Wrestlers Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, the government is now concerned over India’s future in the Olympics and Asian Games.
Questions loom large over the functioning of WFI, and the training of players amid the ongoing protest. Responding to this, Union Minister of State for Sports Nishit Pramanik said that India’s medal tally will not be affected as the players are doing their training and will win more medals this time again.

The players have said that they will not take training at the Sai Center in Uttar Pradesh or the training centre in Gonda. This has further ignited a controversy.
