In a significant development concerning the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a designated terrorist according to India, the CCTV footage of the incident has been publicly revealed for the first time in Canada. The footage was aired on a television news program by the Government-funded outlet CBC News on Friday.
According to the CBC News report, the footage, captured from a surveillance camera overlooking the parking lot of the Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara Sahib on the evening of June 18 last year, depicts a white sedan obstructing the path of the Dodge Ram pickup truck driven by Nijjar. Subsequently, two individuals, believed to be Nijjar’s assailants, can be observed rushing towards the vehicle before fleeing in a waiting Toyota Camry.
The authenticity of the video, acquired by The Fifth Estate, has been independently verified by multiple sources, as reported by CBC News. Described as a ‘highly coordinated’ attack, it involved six men and two vehicles.
