Hyderabad News : Liquor Shops To Remain Closed On Holi
In view of Holi celebrations, Hyderabad police on Wednesday, March 12, announced the closure of all liquor and toddy shops, along with bars attached to restaurants. Liquor shops across Hyderabad, Rachakonda, and Cyberabad commissionerates will remain closed from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM on March 14. However, the directive does not apply to bars in star hotels and registered clubs, a Siasat Daily report said.
Delhi News : Man arrested for raping British woman in Mahipalpur
A man was arrested on charges of raping a British woman in a Mahipalpur hotel in Delhi, the Delhi Police said. His accomplice was arrested on charges of molestation. The woman who was friends with the man through social media had come to Delhi from the UK to meet him. The information about the incident has been given by the Delhi Police to the British High Commission.
Hyderabad and Cyberabad Police have issued orders prohibiting the throwing of colours or coloured water on unwilling individuals, vehicles, or properties in public spaces to prevent annoyance during Holi celebrations. The authorities have also banned group movement of two-wheelers and other vehicles in public areas to maintain peace and order. The order will be in effect from 6 pm on March 13 to 6 am on March 15 in Hyderabad, and from 6 am on March 14 to 6 am on March 15 in Cyberabad.
