The supporters of Lok Sabha MP Pappu Yadav on Friday held demostrations in solidarity with BPSC aspirants protesting paper leak in Patna. The protest has been ongoing for over two weeks in response to alleged irregularities in the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) examination.
The supporters blocked railway tracks at Sachiwalay Halt. They also blocked roads in Araria district. Deputy Superitendent Anu Kumari confirmed that police have been attempting to disperse the protesters and clear the railway tracks.
The protest is part of wider demonstrations, including indefinite hunger strike by Prashant Kishor and a march by Congress and CPI-ML leaders that was halted by police.
“Bihar and the whole country are very concerned about the students. This fight is not just about BPSC. It is about the future of the children of 13 crore people. Politicians, coaching mafia and officials together have completely ruined their lives. From 1988-89 till today, paper leaks have been going on no decision has been taken on this. We are very clear that we have to fight. We will also meet the new Governor,” Purnea MP Pappu Yadav told ANI.

One of Yadav’s supporters said, “The Bihar government has forced us to take to the streets by jeopardising the future of 4 lakh students. BPSC aspirants have been protesting continuously for 16 days, yet the government remains indifferent.”
