Two days after three civilians went missing from Jammu & Kashmir’s Kathua district, their bodies were recovered on Saturday, officials said. According to the sources, all three of them were on their way to attend a marriage function in Kathua when they allegedly went missing on March 6 around 8 pm.
Following this, the security forces launched a massive search operation under a Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP). Their bodies were recovered after a long 60-hour operation.
This incident led to the suspicion of the terror link in this particular case, with BJP MLA Satesh Sharma raising the issue in the state assembly.
Sharma said, I want to inform you about the three missing civilians. We want to seek answers from the government.”
The deceased have been identified as Varun Singh (15), Yogesh Singh, and Darshan Singh.
Earlier, the investigation was focusing on a possible terror link, with a terrorist outfit already hinting at its involvement in the abduction.
