A Bengaluru man’s X post went viral on social media, which was about some bizarre rules that were displayed at a public park. As per the viral post, the park visitors were being asked to not jog, and to only walk ‘clockwise’. Here’s how the internet reacted…
Forget beginners- based on how most of the netizens react to some of the most bizarre incidents- it seems like Bengaluru is not even for the experts! Social media is full of incidents that can be considered rather ‘normal’ for the IT Hub of India, but can turn out to be truly shocking for the rest of the country. With that in mind, it makes sense that phrases like ‘Only in Bangalore’, ‘peak Bangalore moments’, and ‘just Bengaluru things’ are popular on the internet. Exemplifying something similar, a post was recently shared online, which was basically about some park rules that left a Bengaluru man confused. As per a picture shared on the post, the rules asked the park visitors to NOT jog, only walk in a clockwise direction, and not engage in gaming activities. Expressing his frustration, the man raised questions against the rules and their needs.
The post went viral in an instant, whereas, Times Now could not confirm the exact date and location of the incident. Most people called the rules bizarre and impractical, while some sided with the idea and shared multiple explanations for the rules.
“You have got to be joking right? No jogging in Indiranagar Park? What’s next, no Western clothes in parks? What have joggers ever done to parks?” the post read.
“The lack of public spaces is one problem in Bangalore but another one no one speaks about is the policing of the existing public spaces against certain kinds of users. And it’s either done by the govt or the groups that claim artificial ownership of these spaces via ‘maintenance’ work,” the post further read.
