Cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and dancer Dhanashree Verma finalised their divorce proceedings today.
The 34-year-old bowler is set to pay his ex-wife Rs 4.75 crore in alimony.
Chahal showed up to court wearing a hoodie, and a tee-shirt underneath.

He also had a mask on while entering the courtroom. However, Chahal was also videoed leaving the court, and at this time, his tee-shirt was visible with the caption ‘Be your own sugar daddy’.

Cambridge describes ‘sugar daddy’ as “a rich and usually older man who buys presents for or gives money to a younger person, especially a woman, usually so that the younger person will spend time with him and have a sexual relationship with him”.
The cheeky tee-shirt caption implies monetarily treating oneself.
Notably, Verma, 28, and Chahal got separated after five years of marriage.
There were earlier speculations that Chahal was set to pay Verma a whopping Rs 60 crore as part of the divorce settlement, but the couple shot down the rumours.
Chahal’s tee-shirt has, however, set tongues wagging online with one user asking “What kind of Cold War is this?”
Another wondered what the judge might have to say about the sartorial choice in court.
One user remarked, “This disease which pays alimony is more dangerous than corona.”
Others chipped in saying ‘Chahal got no chill’ and ‘nice tee-shirt’.
When exiting court too, Chahal was asked about the proceedings and about the alimony, as videos on social media showed, but the cricketer had no comment for the press.
