The former glamour model was declared bankrupt in November 2019 and again in March over an unpaid tax bill worth more than £750,000.
An arrest warrant for former glamour model Katie Price has been issued after she failed to attend a court hearing relating to her bankruptcies.
Price, 46, was due to appear at a bankruptcy court in London on Tuesday, after previously being told she must attend or risk arrest.
After missing the court appearance, Insolvency and Companies Court judge Catherine Burton said the former model had been given “very clear warnings” and added: “It is in my judgment necessary that the court issue a warrant for Ms Price’s arrest.
“She has no real excuse in failing to attend today’s hearing. The reason for her absence today is irrelevant.”
The former glamour model was declared bankrupt in November 2019 and again this March over an unpaid tax bill worth more than £750,000.
She missed her March hearing because she was “dealing with serious stuff”.
Barrister Darragh Connell, representing the trustee for Price’s two bankruptcies, said in court on Tuesday that the former model would be detained to make sure she attends a future hearing on her finances, and would “not be kept in custody for a long period of time”.
He added: “Her liberty is on the line, but unfortunately we are at the end of the road in relation to this matter.”
