24-year-old man named Ganesh hailing from Madanapalle was in a relationship with Gautami from Perampalli village.
However, Gautami recently got engaged to another person with the wedding scheduled to take place in April.
According to Annamayya district police, she had informed Ganesh that it won’t be possible to continue their relationship and invited him to her home on Friday to clear the air.
Gautami’s parents were away at the farm field at the time of the incident.
When Ganesh arrived at her house, he came carrying a bottle of bathroom cleaning acid along with a knife.
While they were talking, Ganesh poured acid on her face and stabbed her with a knife.
