Why Did Allu Arjun Spend Night In Jail?

The high court granted Arjun interim bail on a personal bond of Rs 50,000 late on Friday, providing temporary relief for the actor. Despite the bail order, procedural delays resulted in Arjun spending the night at Chikkadpally Jail before his release early the next morning.

The actor’s arrest came as a result of the December 4 stampede at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad during the screening of Pushpa 2: The Rule. The incident claimed the life of a 35-year-old woman, Revathi and injured her eight-year-old son as hundreds of fans thronged the venue to catch a glimpse of the actor.

Letter Seeking Police Bandobast At Theatre Surfaces

Meanwhile, a letter by the Sandhya Theatre authorities seeking police protection for the event day surfaced on the internet on Friday. The Hyderabad Police later issued a clarification regarding the letter circulating in the media, allegedly requesting police bandobast for December 4 and 5 in connection with the release of the film Pushpa 2: The Rule. The letter, sent by Sandhya Cine Enterprise 70 MM to the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Chikkadpally, requested additional security for the film’s premiere.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Central Zone, issued a statement addressing the situation. “The letter circulating in the media, addressed by Sandhya Cine Enterprise to ACP Chikkadpally requesting bandobast on December 4 and 5, is one of many such requests we receive,” the statement read.
