Five people, including two women, were killed on the spot in a head-on collision with a pulse-sowing vehicle in Karnataka’s Vijayapura.
Vijayapura: Five people, including two women, were killed on the spot on Friday following a collision between the car they were travelling in and a pulse-sowing vehicle. According to police, the incident occurred in the Talikote police station limits in Karnataka’s Vijayapura. The driver of the pulse-sowing vehicle fled the scene after the accident.

As per the PTI report, efforts are underway to trace the accused driver. All five victims were residents of Aliabad village in Vijayapura. They were returning from Yadir when the head-on collision took place. A video of the incident that has surfaced shows the car completely crushed. An ANI report mentioned that the bodies have been sent to Bagewadi Government Hospital for post-mortem.
In separate incident in Ahmedabad, a tragic collision between a truck and a car on the Ahmedabad-Vadodara Expressway near Nadiad last night resulted in the deaths of three individuals, while two others sustained injuries.
The deceased included two men and one woman. A 41-year-old man, Jim Phularam, and a 14-year-old girl were hospitalised and are currently undergoing treatment. According to Police Inspector VB Desai, the accident occurred due to the sudden bursting of the car’s tyre. The victims were returning to Surat from a wedding ceremony when the incident took place near Nadiad.
